Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified educators to join our team as Primary and Secondary School Teachers (including SACE-trained professionals) for Modern Greek language instruction in the 2025 school year. Our school operates for four hours on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, aligned with South Australian school term schedules. Terms of engagement
Remuneration: Teachers will receive $32 per hour, with a maximum of 4 paid hours per classroom session per week, plus additional compensation for staff meetings.
Payment Method: Monthly electronic funds transfer (EFT) at the end of each calendar month.
General Responsibilities
We are seeking exceptional, preferably experienced, Primary and/or Secondary School-trained teachers to join our creative and dynamic team. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong understanding of best teaching practices and a deep commitment to fostering student learning.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality instruction tailored to students' educational needs and abilities.
Collaborating with colleagues to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Reporting directly to the Head of School.
Ensuring the provision of a supportive and enriching educational environment.
Applicants should embody a passion for education and a dedication to empowering student success.
The ideal candidates will:
Hold an Australian, Greek, or Cypriot tertiary qualification in Education (Primary or Secondary School Teaching) or meet the teacher Foundation Educators Program requirements set by CLSSA.
Demonstrate proficiency in teaching the Modern Greek language.
Plan and deliver curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the SA and Australian Curriculum: Languages, as outlined by ACARA.
Assess, document, and report on students' progress, development, achievements, and behaviour.
Embrace and actively support the school’s vision and mission.
Apply and uphold best teaching practices consistent with the school’s pedagogical framework.
Commit to ongoing professional development as part of lifelong learning.
Comply with Child Safe Environments and CLSSA policies (available at https://www.clssa.sa.edu.au/policies-and-procedures/).
Conduct themselves professionally and ethically at all times, fulfilling duty-of-care responsibilities.
Participate in and support extracurricular activities organised by the Greek School and associated external organisations.

Working With Children Check (WWCC): A valid WWCC issued through the South Australian Department of Human Services.
Child Safe Environments Training Certificate: Evidence of completion of "Identifying & Responding to
Child Abuse & Neglect" training within the last three years.
First Aid Training Certificate: Proof of current First Aid training (Basic Emergency Life Support - BELS for teachers).
